What is turbo electronic actuator

11-06-2022

Turbo electronic actuator is an electromechanical device mounted on the compressor housing and connected to the VNT (diesel engine) or wastegate (gasoline engine) to precisely control the displacement in steady state and transient modes.

Turbo electronic actuators respond faster and control more precisely than pneumatic actuators, helping to improve engine performance, fuel efficiency and emissions control.

Due to increasingly stringent emission regulations, pneumatic actuators are gradually being replaced by turbo electronic actuators.
